well, i remember there is a thread somewhere here..in GW:P, the cinematic shows a group of members consisting of devona, etc slaying a bunch of demons (?)..in GW:F, it shows the fall of shiro..in GW:NF, there is no cinematic released..

i just wondering if you guys are bothered by the absence of cinematic in this chapter?

Absence of cinematics? Haven't noticed it. What I *did* notice was a lot of.. erm.. cinematics. Pretty ones, too.

I don't really mind as most as some will. Prophecies's cinematic felt corny and "generic fantasy" (Something which the actual game is far from), and while Factions's cinematic beats most, at the end of the day, they're throwaway.

I would have only ever watched it once, I don't mind they dont have it.

On a side note. I'm really happy my Mesmer has some lip movement going on^^.

I'd really love to see one, but the lack of it doesn't make the game worse at all. It's like a huge, delicious cake, without a cherry on top. I still love it, but... please give me that cherry next time, ok?

And to those saying there are atleast three of them, there is a difference between Trailer and Cinematics

If they have limited time and resources I'd rather they devote them to the game than the cinematics.

There're no cinematics in Nightfall?!

I think he means a trailer (not the ign kind, but like fations and proph had before release). The cinematics in the game are superb, the voice acting is a+, the mouth movement added is way better then any before it! I really don't miss having a cinematic trailer, no.

Hey, I'd settle for ingame cinematics with animated lip movements (finally!) than a prerendered opening cinematic, which is what we got.

I do miss the cinematic type intro, it was sweet for proph and factions, but I'm happier that we got the MUCH better voice acting and lip movement. Although I am a little bumbed that I have to hide my sin's face mask thingy to see his lips move otherwise his chin sometimes shows below it when he's talking...

Pretty minor though, my necro and paragon are cool enough!

While I think they can be fun the first time around. After that they're pretty much a waste of developer time imo. That could of been spent adding more content along the lines of areas/quests/items/abilities.

If you want a game that's all cinematics try
MGS 2......

You watch the cinematic...what...once, twice? Totally about 5 minutes..max? And how much time do we spend in the game? lol

1. He's not talking about ingame cinematics, but rather a CG introduction into the story.

2. MGS 2 is one of the best games of all time and the storytelling/cutscenes are nothing along the lines of what hes talking about, those type of scenes are already in NF.
